Child Development Center

About the Center

Each class has either two certified lead teachers or a certified lead teacher and an assistant.  The center is also a learning facility, therefore students enrolled in Caddo Kiowa's Child Development Program spend a portion of their class time in each of the classes.

The Child Development Center prepares nutritional meals on-site.   The kitchen is inspected annually by the Caddo County Health Inspector and is also inspected randomly by the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

  • Cubs: Six weeks to 8 months
  • Turtles: 8-14 months
  • Raccoons: 15 months - 2 years
  • Mustangs: 2 years
  • Hound Dogs: 3 years and up
  • Bulldogs: School Age
  • Headstart: 3 and 4 year olds

Reaching for the Stars LogoThe Child Development Center is certified by the Department of Human Services as a Three Star Child Care Facility.  Two and three star programs offer a better environment for children to learn and grow.

Star programs offer developmentally appropriate learning environments which promote cognitive, social and emotional development for each individual child.

Advisory Committee
The Child Development Center has two advisory committees: A committee made up of parents and one made up from child care directors and teachers from other centers.

The committees evaluate the program and make recommendations for improvements and changes.
