New management techniques prove critical for agriculture producers
Fort Cobb, OK – January 23, 2007 – Due to tight margins and increasing overhead, today’s agricultural producers must make tough decisions concerning the productivity and efficiency of their operations.
To help with growing concerns, Caddo Kiowa Technology Center, Great Plains RC&D, NRCS and OSU Extension, in conjunction with area sponsors will host a workshop dealing with no-till cropping systems and GIS-GPS technologies – methods that many producers are introducing daily into their management decisions.
The workshop will feature presentations by Oklahoma State personnel, NRCS and a producer panel that will address potential benefits and problems concerning these practices. There will also be farm supplier and equipment displays.
Held February 8 in the Seminar Center at Caddo Kiowa Tech Center, the workshop is free to producers; for more information or to register call 405-643- 3273.
Caddo Kiowa Technology Center's campus is located in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. Additional information about programs and services at CKTC is available at www.caddokiowa.com, and statewide information is available at www.okcareertech.org.
