Veterans' Day

Caddo Kiowa Tech Center holds Veterans’ Day Assembly

Fort Cobb, OK – November 10, 2006 - Caddo Kiowa Tech Center held a Veterans' Day Assembly on Friday, November 10. The featured speaker for the event was Fort Cobb resident Floyd Ratliff who served in WWII in the 25th Division and in the Korean War as the First Sergeant of the Battery B 158th Field Artillery, which was a part of the 45th Division. Ratliff spoke to CK staff and students about the history and meaning of Veterans’ Day.

Alumnus Charles Pinezaddleby performed a patriotic piano medley while Criminal Justice students Neal Kitchen, Chris Stumblingbear, Mary Smith and Keesha Wetselline presented the colors and flag salute.

Fort Cobb-Broxton third, fourth and fifth graders performed a patriotic medley, and Pre-Engineering student Mykka Jasper sang the National Anthem.

The multimedia program presented a patriotic slide show and Diane Hadley, a Business and Computer Technology student, signed God Bless the USA.

To conclude the ceremony, Keith Theesen, CK welding instructor and veteran, read the names of more than 30 CK students and staff who are honored military.
