Summer school students learn about healthy living

Fort Cobb, OK – August 7, 2007 – This summer, the math and reading enrichment classes at CKTC had a nutrition class that was taught by RaNell Lasley with the OSU extension office.

Students learned about reading labels for nutrition content and portion control while maintaining a healthy diet.

The students also participated in the “Fit for Life” program, which included a walking program that required the students to walk for 30 minutes each day.

This program and other activities were made possible by a grant received by the Caddo County Interagency Coalition from the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Caddo Kiowa Technology Center's campus is located in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. Additional information about programs and services at CKTC is available at www.caddokiowa.com, and statewide information is available at www.okcareertech.org.
