Youth leadership group prepares stocking stuffers for Caddo County foster teens

Fort Cobb, OK – November 29, 2006 – Each year Caddo Kiowa Technology Center sponsors a youth leadership program called the Points of Light Youth Leadership Institute (PYLI). Since the program teaches teamwork, leadership and community involvement, the participants choose and develop a volunteer community service project.

This year, the Class VI PYLI members chose to stuff Christmas stockings for every Caddo County foster teen. Collecting cash and merchandise donations from various businesses and individuals in Caddo County, the PYLI team collected more than $1800 in cash and merchandise, and stuffed stockings for 27 foster teenagers.

The PYLI members delivered the donations to the Department of Human Services on November 29.

Caddo Kiowa Technology Center's campus is located in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.  Additional information about programs and services at CKTC is available at www.caddokiowa.com, and statewide information is available at www.okcareertech.org.
