Caddo Kiowa Tech Center and MidFirst Bank offer Child Protect Program
Fort Cobb, OK – February 7, 2007 - Each year, nearly 800,000 children are reported missing. The vast majority haven't been fingerprinted since birth, making it even harder for law enforcement to find them.
So, Caddo Kiowa Technology students enrolled in Business and Computer Technology and Criminal Justice have joined forces with MidFirst Bank to provide a much-needed service during CareerTech Week: The Child Protect Program.
During CareerTech Week (February 13-17) CK students and their instructors will be at Hydro-Eakly Schools on February 13 and 16; Gracemont Schools on Tuesday, February 14; Verden Schools on Wednesday, February 15; and Cyril Schools on Friday, February 17.
Each child will receive -- free of charge – a child identity kit that includes a photo and fingerprint card in an envelope that includes emergency numbers and safety information on the cover.
Caddo Kiowa and MidFirst Bank plan to not only offer the Child Protect Program during CareerTech Week, but to also take the show on the road to any school or community in CK’s district who requests it.
The program is Caddo Kiowa Tech Center and MidFirst Bank’s way of making it easy for parents to get their little ones' unique identifying information on file. No one wants to think about a child missing—but if it happens, the information parents collect with this program is their best bet for helping law enforcement bring their kids home safe and sound.
