Caddo Kiowa Tech Center is ready to assist dislocated workers in the districtFort Cobb, OK – September 27, 2005 – Last Thursday, representatives from Caddo Kiowa Tech Center participated in the Rapid Response Team for employees laid off from ArvinMeritor in Chickasha. Many of the employees affected by the ArvinMeritor plant relocation live in communities served by Caddo Kiowa Technology Center. “We want each and every one of the patrons in our district to know that we have the people and programs in place that can assist during this transition,” reported Jerry Martin, superintendent, “We are committed to meeting their needs and are ready to help. Over the next few weeks the OneStop center is going to make every effort to contact each person in our district who has been laid off by ArvinMeritor.” Caddo Kiowa Tech Center’s CKTC One Stop Center is a satellite of the Chickasha Workforce Oklahoma Center. The OneStop Center provides immediate services to dislocated workers needing assistance in the areas of assessment and testing, career counseling, resume writing, interviewing skills and job search methods. The OneStop Center has staff available for assistance with filing for unemployment and for registering with the Oklahoma State Employment Service. The OneStop also offers computer and telephone services for job search and communicating with agencies.
