Fort Cobb, OK – April 20, 2010 - Eleven students from CKTC’s OTA program participated in the state HOSA competition in Oklahoma City. (L-R) Bobby Cornelsen (Weatherford), placed second in Medical Photography; Shannon Caudillo (Yukon) placed third in Creative Problem Solving Team; Danielle Franklin (Burns Flat) received an Honorable Mention in Creative Problem Solving Team; Tephanie Baker (Fort Cobb) received an Honorable Mention in Health Career Display Team; Gina Hatfield (Frederick) placed third in Health Career Display Team; Jami Bergdall (Lahoma) placed third in Creative Problem Solving Team; Michelle Ragan (Weatherford) received an Honorable Mention in Health Career Display Team; Britnye Dobbins (Wichita Falls, Texas) received an Honorable Mention in Creative Problem Solving Team; Erin Emerson (Cyril) placed third in Creative Problem Solving Team; Jennifer Nunez (Lawton) received an Honorable Mention in Creative Problem Solving Team. Fort Cobb, OK – March 12, 2010 - Business and Computer Technology students recently competed at the BPA Spring Leadership Conference in Tulsa. The following people attended the conference: Lorena Hokeah (Anadarko) placed fourth in Medical Transcription; Sevon Tahbone (Gracemont) placed first in Extemporaneous Speech; Flora Morton (Anadarko) placed in the top ten in Legal Office Procedures, Interview Skills; Patty Robles (Carnegie) placed in the top ten in Computerized Accounting, Payroll Accounting; and Tricia Noahubi (Carnegie) competed in Medical Transcription.
Sevon Tahbone will compete at Nationals in Anaheim.

Fort Cobb, OK – February 23, 2010 -   Caddo Kiowa Technology Center students recently placed at SkillsUSA District Leadership contest.

Those who placed in Job Interview Post-Secondary Division are Criminal Justice Student Sandra Nix (Carnegie), first place; Cosmetology Student Amanda Owings (Fort Cobb), second place; and Criminal Justice Student William Chase (Anadarko), third place.

Those who placed in Job Interview Secondary Division are Criminal Justice Students Alysha Archilta (Anadarko HS), second place; and Kyli Ahtone (Riverside), seventh place.

Second place winner in Prepared Speech Post-Secondary Division went to Carpentry Student Kenneth Chavez (Carnegie).

Fort Cobb, OK – February 22, 2010 - Nathanial Charlton (Cement High School), a CKTC Automotive Service Technology student recently competed at Canadian Valley Tech Center in El Reno.   He placed fifth in the secondary SkillsUSA competition.   

Victor Spigarelli (Carnegie), a CKTC Automotive Service Technology student recently competed at Canadian Valley Tech Center in El Reno.   He placed first in the post-secondary SkillsUSA competition.

Teresa Friend places thirdFort Cobb, OK – February 15, 2010 -   Teresa Friend (Anadarko), a CKTC Construction Technology student  competed in the Cabinet Contest at Great Plains Technology Center in Lawton.   She placed third in the post-secondary division of the SkillsUSA competition.  Jerry Perkey is the CKTC Construction Technology instructor.
