Business and Industry Services
Caddo Kiowa's
economic base is composed primarily of people in the farming and
ranching business and in small business operations. The Center
expanded its program to offer specialized programs for the businesses
in the area.
Agriculture Business Management
The program provides the opportunity for
farmers and family to learn and apply
concepts needed to make their operations
successful and sustainable.
The first year of the
program deals extensively with the use of
the computer to maintain farm and family
financial records. Other topics covered are
forming family and business goals;
developing financial statements and farm
plans; and communicating with lenders and
tax professionals.

Industry Services
Our staff can provide off-campus and
on-site customized business training.
Industrial Services provides classes
tailored to meet the needs of the
client.
Special emphasis is
given to employee/employer relations,
supervisory training, technical
training, and mandated training.

Most training can be conducted
off-campus. Classes can be held in area
communities and at business and industry
sites. The classes can vary to meet
individual training needs.]
Training for
Industry Program
The program is designed to assist new
companies that are locating in Caddo
Kiowa's district. The program is geared
to meet specific training needs from
assessment through pre-production
training.

Small Business Management
This
program provides an opportunity for the
owner/manager of the small business to
gain essential management skills through
individual training. Participating
businesses will receive assistance in
developing a business plan. Using
applied management principles, the
coordinator and owner/manager will work
together to find the strengths and
weaknesses of the business and customize
the program toward a goal of
productivity and profitability.
Topics covered include record keeping, cash
flow, planning for profits, marketing,
advertising, salesmanship, recruiting and
training, compliance with government
regulations, and customer service.
