Program Summary

Florists fashion and design live, cut, dried and artificial-floral and flower arrangements for such occasions as weddings, anniversaries, parties, funerals, holidays and dances.  Florists generally have no trouble finding work.

Greenhouse and nursery workers produce flowers and ornamental plants for florists, garden centers, plantscapers and landscapers.  The cultivation and sale of flowers and ornamental plants is a multibillion dollar industry.

Grounds keepers maintain the grounds of industrial, commercial, public or private property to keep them in a neat and orderly condition.  They plant and maintain trees, flowers and shrubs, hedges and lawns.  They also install lighting, sprinkler systems and water features.

Program Length:  2100 hours
